If you like "Eragon"...

Thanks for visiting our website and requesting a Book Match!

I liked Eragon too! Did you know that the author, Christopher Paolini, was only 15 years old when he wrote it? It is the first book in a planned trilogy called Inheritance. Book two, Eldest, is due out this August. I already have my name on the library's waiting list for this new title. You may want to go ahead and put yours on too.

Here are some other titles you should enjoy:

Artemis Fowl by Eoin Colfer
Twelve-year-old Artemis Fowl is the most ingenious criminal mastermind in history. With two trusty sidekicks in tow, he hatches a cunning plot to divest the fairyfolk of their pot of gold. Of course, he isn't foolish enough to believe in all that "gold at the end of the rainbow" nonsense. Rather, he knows that the only way to separate the little people from their stash is to kidnap one of them and wait for the ransom to arrive. This is also part of a trilogy.

Dealing with Dragons: The Enchanted Forest Chronicles, Book One by Patricia Wrede
Bored with traditional palace life, a princess goes off to live with a group of dragons and soon becomes involved with fighting against some disreputable wizards who want to steal away the dragons' kingdom.

Alanna: The First Adventure by Tamora Pierce
Eleven-year-old Alanna, who aspires to be a knight even though she is a girl, disguises herself as a boy to become a royal page, a learning many hard lessons along her path to high adventure.

The Golden Compass by Phillip Pullman
When Lyra and her daemon, the manifestation of her soul in animal form, decide to spy on a presentation her uncle, the commanding Lord Asriel, is making to the elders of Jordan College they have no idea that they will become witnesses to an attempted murder-and even less that they are taking the first steps in a journey that will lead them into danger and
adventure unlike anything Lyra's unfettered imagination has conjured up.

Happy Reading!
