If you liked The Count of Monte Cristo...

I'm so glad to know you enjoyed The Count of Monte Cristo!
Although it's been a long time since I read it, I agree it's very
exciting reading. So, here are three titles I'd like to recommend.

Fever, 1793 by Laurie Halse Anderson.
In 1793 Philadelphia, sixteen-year-old Matilda Cook, separated from her sick mother, learns about perseverance and self-reliance when she is forced to cope with the horrors of a yellow fever epidemic.

Kidnapped : being the memoirs of the adventures of David Balfour in theyear 1751 / written by himself and now set forth by Robert Louis Stevenson.
A sixteen-year-old orphan is kidnapped by his villainous
uncle, but later escapes and becomes involved in the struggle of the
Scottish highlanders against English rule.

The Three Musketeers by Alexandre Dumas In seventeenth-century France,
young D'Artagnan initially quarrels with, then befriends, three
musketeers and joins them in trying to outwit the enemies of the king
and queen.
