If you enjoyed "A Sicilian Romance" by A Radcliffe...

I'm not familiar with A Sicilian Romance, but it sounds like you might
like Historical Romance. Here are a couple titles for you, with some
contemporary romance thrown in for good measure.

Beauty by Robin McKinley.
Contrary to the name, 16-year-old Beauty is not the prettiest girl in
her family. But she is the cleverest, bravest, and most honorable. When
her father makes a promise with a beast who lives in an enchanted
castle, Beauty fulfills her father's pledge.

Flipped by Wendelin Van Draanen.
Two teenagers who are neighbors, describe, in alternating chapters, how
their feelings about each other, themselves, and their families change
over the years, beginning with their first meeting at age seven.

Victoria and the Rogue by Meg Cabot.
Growing up in far-off India, wealthy young heiress Lady Victoria
Arbuthnot was accustomed to handling her own affairs -- not to mention
everyone else's. But in her sixteenth year, Vicky is unceremoniously
shipped off to London to find a husband. With her usual aplomb, however,
Lady Victoria gets herself engaged to the perfect English gentleman,
even before setting foot on British soil.

Sirena by Donna Jo Napoli.
The gods grant immortality to the mermaid Sirena when she rescues a
human man from the sea and they fall in love, but his mortality creates
great conflict between love and honor when he is called to defend Greece
in the Trojan War.

Happy Reading!
