I'm so glad you enjoyed the book Parts by Tedd Arnold. While I haven't
read that book, it sounds really funny! I have suggested three other
titles below that I hope you might like. In fact, the first title is
written by the same author, Tedd Arnold. Enjoy!

Even More Parts: Idioms from Head to Toe by Tedd Arnold.
A young boy is worried about what will happen to his body when he hears
such expressions as "I'm tongue-tied," "don't give me any of your lip,"
and "I put my foot in my mouth."

Since you enjoyed Now We Are Six by A.A. Milne, I am including among the list of funny books, some humorous poetry as well. I hope you find some books that you will enjoy.

Hand, Hand, Fingers, Thumb by Al Perkins. Rhyming text describes what
can be done on a drum with hand, fingers, and thumb.

Cat Is Back At Bat by John Stadler. Fourteen rhymed verses describe
funny animals, for example, "A big pig tries a wig" and "A snake tries
to bake a cake."

If you like, "Have You Seen My Duckling?" you may like these other books with simple pictures and not too many words.

The Little Red Hen by Byron Barton.

I’m so glad you found our Book Match Service and I hope I can make some suggestions that will work for you. There are quite a few series that have cute and sassy girls for the age range you suggest. You may already know some of these, but maybe a new one will come out. All of the titles I am including here are the first title in a series, so if one appeals you may look for more about the same character by the same author. I suggest you try the following:

This is a Historic Communities book. It includes Soap making, and Candle making.

Josefina’s Craft Book – The American Girls Collection.
This has a section on making a Straw broom. 

The Heritage Sampler. A Book of Colonial Arts & Crafts by Cheryl G. Hoople.
This includes directions on how to make Tin Can Candles.

If you like The Girlfriend, by R.L. Stine for its horror, suspense, and descriptive writing, you may like these books:
