All book sales take place during normal library hours.
Semi-Annual Book Sales
The Headquarters Library holds two HUGE book sales, filling the theater and atrium, each fall and spring.
2013 Fall Sale:
Preview for Friends: Friday evening, October 18, 7-9pm (You can join the Friends of the Library at the door!)
Sale dates: Saturday, October 19 - Wednesday, October 23
Atrium Book Sales
February 2013: Friday, February 15 - Thursday, February 21, during library hours
(Note: The library is closed Monday, February 18, for Presidents Day.)
July 2013: Friday, July 12 - Wednesday, July 17, during library hours
Year-Round Book Sale
The Friends' Book Nook, located in the library lobby, offers year-round shopping and is the place to browse daily for new and gently used books at bargain prices.
This news of being named an [ALA] Alex Award winner is especially sweet because I, personally, know what it means to be included into a world of free access to books, which has been my real family since the first day of the first grade, when I stepped into the bookmobile.
