After accessing the Testing and Education Center, you will be able to select from 5 tabs: High School Tools, College Prep Tools, Career Tools, Grad School Tools or International Tools.
High School Tools: Students in Middle School and High School will find drills and practice tests in math, reading and writing. Students taking advanced placement classes will find practice exams. Looking at Catholic high schools or private high schools? You will find practice entrance exams for private schools in this database.
Want to earn college level credit before attending college? Through CLEP you can earn college level credit through a series of exams. At the Testing and Education Center you will find practice tests to help you prepare for CLEP exams. The DSST Program is another way to earn college credit. Find these exams on this site.
College Preparation Tools: As you prepare for college, return to the Testing and Education Center for practice PSAT and SAT exams. If you are looking for financial assistance for college you will find a link to the FAFSA on this database as well as articles about financial aid. There is even a college search feature that will take you out on the web to look for schools. You will also find information about undergraduate distance-learning programs.
Career Tools: After college, turn to the Testing and Education Center Database for help creating a resume, writing cover letters, and practicing for certification exams for accounting, air traffic control, ASVAB and more. After using "Build a Resume," you will have a professional-looking resume. If you need help with a cover letter, select "Virtual Career Tools." There is also assistance for people transitioning from the military, changing careers, preparing for an interview, and other job search information.
If you need to improve your computer skills, you will find basic tutorials for Windows, Word, Excel, Access and PowerPoint on the Basic Computer Skills page in the Career Tools section.
Graduate School Tools: If you decide to further your career by attending graduate school, you will find practice tests for the GMAT, GRE, LSAT, MCAT and Miller Analogies. You can also search for graduate schools and conduct a graduate school scholarship search.
International Tools: For international students there are TOEFL practice exams, TOEIC practice exams, and U.S. Citizenship information.
