Interstellar Cinderella by Deborah Underwood

Interstellar Cinderella by Deborah Underwood

Once upon a planetoid, amid her tools and sprockets, a girl named Cinderella dreamed of fixing fancy rockets.

One day, aspiring rocketeer Cinderella and her evil stepmother and stepsisters receive an invitation to the Prince's Royal Space Parade. How spectacular! But there seems to be no room for Cinderella in her family's car. If she can fix a broken ship, she can fly it to the parade! But, alas, her toolbox is missing. What can she do to make it to the interstellar parade without tools?

With a little help from her fairy godrobot, Cinderella acquires new tools and even a new space suit! Will Cinderella make it to the cosmic parade on time? Will she finally get the recognition she deserves?

In this sing-song space adventure, Interstellar Cinderella follows the same storyline as Charles Perrault's classic, but with a little futuristic twist. It also embraces the idea, "follow your dreams, no matter what!" Underwood creates a pleasant rhyme to read aloud, and illustrator Meg Hunt's drawings are unique and filled with wonderful imagination. Read Interstellar Cinderella, and blast off into a world of rockets and sprockets!

Interstellar Cinderella supports our Grow a Reader principles of Narrative Skills, Print Awareness, and Reading.
