Lit Bistro@ Porter

The Lit Bistro group got together today to talk about books.  If you are a teen in grades 7-12 and like to read and talk about the books that you read....then this is the group for you.  We are very informal and you can talk about any book you want can be an old book or a new book....there is no assigned reading....any book!!!!

Some of the books we have at our group are donated to us by a friend of mine....these books are so new that they are not even in the library system yet...but they are available to you when you come to Lit Bistro.

Here are some of the books that we talked about ....and the comments....

Catching Fire by Suzanne Collins

Shelby said ...."slow to start but had great characters"

Amarea said...."kind of violent but had great characters."

Lament by Maggie Stievater

Shelby said...." teens can handle this."

Shelby read a lot of books. Here are some of her other comments:

Heroes of the Valley by Jonathan Stroud....."so long so boring so pointless."

The Tomorrow Code by Brian Faulkner...."surprise ending."

Cracked Up to Be by Courtney Summers...."not for me."

That is what we do at Lit Bistro.

Come check it out and see for yourself.  The next meeting is November 18 from 4-5 pm at Porter Library.
