Create a Free NetLibrary Account

You need to create a personal NetLibrary account to browse, search and checkout our eBooks and eAudiobooks. You can create an account by one of the following methods, depending on if you are inside or outside of the library:

Option 1 - Outside the library:

It's fast and simple! Set up your account through our Web site now! Just follow these steps:

  1. Turn off your personal firewall, internet privacy software, or other software that might block referring URLs. NetLibrary needs to "see" that you came through our site to be able to access it correctly.
  2. Go to Articles & Databases.
  3. Click "NetLibrary."
  4. Input your CRRL library barcode. If you don't have a CRRL library card, apply for one online.
  5. Click on "Create a Free Account" in the top right-hand corner.

Option 2 - Inside the library:

Go to NetLibrary.com from a computer within a library branch. Click on "Create a Free Account" on the top right corner.

Option 3 - Inside or outside the library:

Ask a reference librarian to create an account for you in person or over the phone. If you need your account right now, this is your best option. Call 540-372-1144 and ask for the reference desk.

Option 4 - Inside or outside the library:

Complete the form below. Your information will be emailed to our reference librarians who will set up an account for you Monday - Friday, 9 - 5 p.m.

Once your account is ready you can access all of our eBooks and eAudiobooks by clicking on the catalog link to NetLibrary.com. Login and you will have the option of checking out the eBook or downloading the eAudiobook you want.

Catalog Tip: If you want to search specifically for eBooks, do a general keyword search for "netlibrary."
