Gilder Lehrman of American History in partnership with The Library of America has award the CRRL with an opportunity to display a travel panel exhibition: "Civil War 150: Exploring the War and Its Meaning Through the Words of Those Who Lived It." This has been made possible in part through a major grant from the National Endowment for the Humanities: Exploring the human endeavor. The exhibit will be in the Atrium at Headquarters from Tuesday, November 27 - Sunday, December 16, 2012. A reception to officially open the exhibit is Friday, November 30, 5:30-7:00. John Hennessy, Chief Historian for the National Park Service will address the five themes of the exhibit and how they were manifested in the Fredericksburg area. Refreshments provided.
