University psychologist Sam Towne has gathered a small group of volunteers to examine the power of the human mind, instructing the group to think up a fictitious spirit of a man named Adam, who would have lived and died over a century ago. As the group spends night after night trying to contact him through a ouija board, eventually Adam answers back and enters the physical world as a hostile spirit, and is determined to remain. When all attempts to terminate the ghost fail, a desperate struggle for survival escalates as each member of the original group falls victim to the heinous forces of the unknown. –Book Description
