Construction is underway on your new library project! The finished structure will encompass 26,000 square feet - almost double the size of the original. See photos of the construction.
WHILE WE GROW, VISIT THE SALEM EXPRESS LIBRARY!
The library plans to provide as much full service as possible to its customers during the expansion project. Hardhats are NOT required to visit the fun bookstore style mini-library located in the library meeting rooms and lobby during the construction project.
Salem Express - open during normal library operating hours - features new and popular materials, an information desk, and computers.
Need something extra? Enjoy - as always - friendly and helpful assistance from the Salem Church staff and the following services in the mini-library:
- Internet Computers
- Bookstore style browsing collection
- Borrowing from other CRRL branches and other libraries via interlibrary loans
- Courier service delivering materials twice daily
- Reference service - get information and find out what to read next
- Summer reading clubs for all ages (June 1, 2008 - August 31, 2008)
- Fax and copying
- Classroom Carryout
- Great parking
- Children's programs (conducted in a classroom trailer adjacent to the meeting rooms).
Here is a specific list of the programs that
we offer on a monthly or bi-monthly basis with some details about the regular
schedules. If you are planning to attend a program, be sure to call before as programs may be subject to change depending on construction activities.
ENJOY REGIONAL RESOURCES!
Visit the library online at LibraryPoint.org. Reserve books for delivery to Salem Express from anywhere in the system, download e-books, email questions to ask a librarian, or search the wonderful range of informational databases available free to library customers.
Salem Church customers may also visit and check out materials from any other branch in the CRRL system, and return them to the Salem Express location. A convenient new drive-up book drop is now open in the library parking lot.
