Special Events for Kids

In the summer, the library continues to offer our usual wide variety of children's classes, but we also have some special events and celebrations to further highlight the importance of summer reading.

Meet some of the wild animals that depend on the river for survival and find out how your actions affect the river, the surrounding environment, and, ultimately, the animals themselves in this special program presented by The Wildlife Center of Virginia.

Harry Potter Celebration at the Library (All ages)

In celebration of Harry Potter's birthday, visit us at your favorite library for Hogwarts-related crafts, games, prizes, and, of course, to have your picture taken with one of our book-character stand-ups or in our wizarding world-themed photo booths.
