TAPLOAN and TTY Equipment Program

The library contracts through the Virginia Department for the Deaf and Hard of Hearing as a site for loaning TTYs and signallers. As a TAPLOAN site, we have 13 TTYs available for loan to eligible patrons, two Alertmaster sets, and assorted audio and visual signalers. Contact the Outreach Department at 540-372-1144 (V) or 711 (Relay) for information on how to borrow a device.

Patrons may contact the Library by using the Virginia Relay System to call Reference or any staff at any branch.  A text telephone (TTY) is available at all branches if you are visiting us and need to place a call.
