Our Fredericksburg Branch parking lot renovation project is complete!
The City of Fredericksburg constructed a brand-new lot with an entrance and exit off Sophia Street and doubled the number of available parking spaces to 56 spaces, including 3 handicapped spots, and a wider access ramp leading to the atrium entrance.
The parking lot has two islands and several green spaces around the perimeter. These spaces will be planted with a variety of trees and shrubs in the fall. There has been no impact on the sidewalk or the memorial garden already in place immediately behind the building. The outdoor book drop has been moved to its permanent location on the far island, conveniently positioned to allow for drivers to drop-off library materials without leaving their cars.
Many thanks to the City of Fredericksburg for making this needed improvement possible. Please visit us, and enjoy a spacious new parking lot!
This fall promises to be a busy one at Central Rappahannock Regional Library, with over 150 events, classes, and workshops offered for the young, the old, and the in-between. Let’s take a look at three of those events, chosen because they are happening soon, may be a bit unexpected as a library offering, or are inspiring opportunities.
