Riverdale (2017 TV Series)
Riverdale is an American teen drama television series based on the characters of Archie Comics. Originally conceived as a feature film adaptation for Warner Bros. Pictures, the idea was re-imagined as a television series for Fox. In 2015, development on the project moved to The CW, where the series was ordered for a pilot. The series features an ensemble cast based on the characters of Archie Comics, with KJ Apa in the role of Archie AndrewsLili Reinhart as Betty CooperCamila Mendes as Veronica Lodge, and Cole Sprouse as Jughead Jones, the series' narrator. The cast also features Ashleigh Murray as Josie McCoy and Madelaine Petsch as Cheryl Blossom. Other characters in the series include Fred AndrewsAlice CooperFP Jones, and Hermione Lodge, the parents of Archie, Betty, Jughead, and Veronica respectively. The thirteen-episode first season premiered on January 26, 2017 to positive reviews, before concluding on May 11, 2017. A Series of Unfortunate Events is an American black comedy-drama television series from Netflix, developed by Mark Hudis and Barry Sonnenfeld, based on the children's novel series of the same name by Lemony Snicket. It stars Neil Patrick HarrisPatrick WarburtonMalina WeissmanLouis HynesK. Todd Freeman, and Presley Smith. The first season, which premiered on January 13, 2017, consists of eight episodes and adapts the first four books of the series. The series was renewed for a second season in March 2017, intended to consist of ten episodes that adapt books five through nine of the novel series, and was renewed for a third season a month later, which is expected to adapt the remaining four books.
