Curriculum support materials are gathered at your request, tailored to meet your students' needs and made readily available at your local branch library.
*Book Group in a Bag
Choose from our wide selection of titles, available for an extended checkout period, for your book club. Online resources provide tools to achieve a successful discussion. Each bag checks out for 6 weeks and includes 10 copies of the title requested.
*Classroom Carryout
Library instructors gather curriculum support materials at your request and tailored to meet your students' needs. Materials will be gathered from throughout the system and prepared for pickup at your most convenient location for use in your classroom.
*Faculty/Parent Presentation
A brief introduction to the best specialized online research tools and resources for you and your students. The presentations are tailored to meet your needs. 15 - 45 minutes.
*Library Lowdown: Teacher Newsletter
CRRL instructors and research specialists prepare a quarterly newsletter, providing new information for you to share with colleagues and students. See past newsletters in the Archive
Teacher Library Card
We offer a variety of materials to enhance any lesson. Show us your school ID for fine-free checkouts. If you need a library card immediately, click on the link to complete the application and we will set up your exempt status at your next library visit.

A free lesson plan.
SOL Connections
A database of over two-thousand works of children's literature and their connection to the Virginia Standards of Learning. Connections also includes links to primary sources in the Library of Congress American Memory Collection. Maintained by Fairfax County Public Schools.
The Virginia Department of Education provides the complete text of the Standards of Learning, as well as instruction, training,and assessment resources for the SOL's here.

Students will learn that reading is fun as CRRL instructors share new books and old favorites, introduce resources and provide an in-depth tour of all the library has to offer.
*Library cards
Give your students an all access pass to over 700,000 free items including eBooks, eAudios and specialized research tools. We provide applications for each of your students and mail the library cards right to their homes.
*Summer Reading Club Classes
We teach students that for next year’s school success, reading is an important part of their summer fun. A lively auditorium style book promotion class.
