Krieger’s new cookbook is well-organized with lots of information and great recipes. Above each recipe is a brief description of its development and serving suggestions. For those of us interested in portion control, each recipe provides recommended serving size and calories. She has also included a list of items for a well-stocked pantry.
As with her other cookbooks, there is a great variety of recipes. I found the unique side dishes, vegetarian main dishes, and the new take on chicken dishes of particular interest. For your sweet tooth, you may be interested in her cakes made in a mug or jar! Ellie Krieger is a registered dietician and has a master’s degree in nutrition from Teacher’s College, Columbia University.
