Social Media Guidelines

Central Rappahannock Regional Library’s mission is to inspire lifelong learning for everyone in our community. We use our social media channels to meet this mission through promotion of library resources, collection, and classes and events. We also share updates on library services.

CRRL encourages public interaction on the library’s social media posts, but requires that comments be appropriate for all audiences. CRRL reserves the right to remove any posts it deems inappropriate, and/or ban or block users who violate this policy. Examples of unacceptable content include profanity, hate speech, threats, private or personal information, requests for personal information, plagiarized material, and unrelated commercial content. By submitting content to CRRL’s social media sites, members of the public grant permission for CRRL to use their name, photo, and any content submitted for library promotion without compensation or liability. Questions or concerns about CRRL’s social media policy, content, or interactions should be directed to graphics.manager@crrl.org.
