Youth Services Outreach

Our latest Library on the Go vehicle is on the road!
CRRL's new Youth Services Programming Vehicle will bring essential library services into the community, including:
- STEM learning
- Educational activities
- Wifi access
- Computers and printing
- Information on free classes and events at library branches
- Small browsing collection of youth materials
CRRL is working with local school divisions and community organizations to identify neighborhoods which can benefit the most. In March, this service kicks off with regularly scheduled stops offering literacy and STEM-focused programs for after-school homework clubs at these locations:
- Stafford Junction
- Heritage Park Apartments
- Hazel Hill Apartments
The Youth Services Programming Vehicle is made possible through the generous support of the Duff McDuff Green, Jr. Fund of the Community Foundation and a gift from Midge Vittoria.

Grow a Reader Outreach is designed to serve preschoolers and the adults who care for and teach them. This program currently visits 17 preschools, 26 childcare facilities, one home childcare, and the Head Start programs in Fredericksburg, Stafford County, and Spotsylvania County.
