Music on the Steps

35th Annual Music on the Steps

Music on the Steps is an annual free all-ages concert on the steps of Fredericksburg Branch Mondays at 7:00 p.m.

We had tentatively planned to hold the Music on the Steps concerts live beginning in July. After determining we cannot safely guarantee social distancing and safety for our musicians, customers, and staff, we have opted to hold July’s concerts virtually or reschedule for a later date. Later in July, we will reassess whether the August and September concerts can safely be performed live.

Virtual Concerts:

Click on the band’s name for virtual concert link and band information. There is also a dial-in number if you are unable to watch online.

July 20: Cabin Creek (Original & Old Time String Band)
July 27: Nick McAlister (Oldies, Rock, Blues, Country, and Originals)

Tentative Live Concerts:

The library hopes to hold the remaining concerts outside at Fredericksburg Branch, 1201 Caroline St., Fredericksburg, 22401, with appropriate social distancing measures. Check this page for updates as the season progresses. Space at live outdoor concerts will be limited. Lawn chairs, blankets, and picnics are welcome. In case of inclement weather, concerts will be canceled.
