Uniquely Fredericksburg

Uniquely Fredericksburg 2018: October 1 to November 30

Artistic works inspired by the Fredericksburg experience—scenes, sites, and people. All artists ages 18 and up are invited to participate. Entries must be original and completed in the last five years. No repeat entries.

Submissions will be accepted online only, August 24 to September 14.

The library now only accepts online submissions. Artists no longer need to bring their works in to be juried, this process will be done only online. The submission form link will be posted on this page starting August 24. Entry fees (check or money order) need to be mailed to CRRL, and must be received by September 16 to be included in jurying and judging.

$25 for the first piece, $10 for each additional and send a check payable to CRRL to:

We are sorry we cannot accept 3-dimensional work.  


Works must be framed and ready to hang with two hooks or screw-eyes for wire attachment. Please slide metal hooks to the top of metal frames, and put screw eyes 2” from top on wooden frames. Unframed stretched canvas pieces are acceptable as long as they are ready to hang and the sides are finished.
Please make sure you have read our guidelines for artists, including framing requirements. Art which is improperly framed will not be accepted. Framing requirements are listed here.

Size requirements

Frame size must be no smaller than 11” x 14” and no larger than 48” x 36”. Please email with framing or size questions. No gallery clips.

All work must be for sale, priced to reflect a 20% commission. Buyers make checks payable to CRRL.

The Art First Gallery/Judith Merrill Emerging Artist Award

Art First Gallery will present an award to the work they judge as the best in show from an emerging artist.
Criteria: Artist should not have had artwork accepted in a previous CRRL Uniquely show.
