Visitors to the Stafford branches may notice upcoming service changes due to a recent reduction in library funding from Stafford County. Because the funding cuts came specifically from Stafford County, the Library Board applied these service changes only to the Howell and Porter branches.
Impacted services include:

Reduced staffing at service desks. Customers may experience longer wait times at service desks and for computer/printing assistance, and fewer notary appointments.

Reduced Classes & Events. The number of adult events has been cut back and no new youth classes will be offered. Starting this fall, some regularly scheduled classes may be canceled or meet less frequently.
