Effective July 31, the Friends of the Library Center and Bookshop at 125 Olde Greenwich Drive in Fredericksburg will end its daily hours and transition to a monthly book sale format.
After carefully reviewing operating expenses, the Friends of the Library Board determined that maintaining a permanent retail space is no longer the best way to support the Library. By moving to monthly sales, more of every dollar raised can go directly toward funding Library programs, services, and resources for the community.
The next large monthly book sale will take place Friday, August 7, through Saturday, August 8, and Monday, August 10, through Thursday, August 13, from 10:00 to 6:00, at the 125 Olde Greenwich Drive location. The branch book sales will continue as usual. You can still find the same great selection of gently used books at fantastic prices during these special sale dates.
