Library Awarded Community Foundation Grant for Summer Reading - March 2026
The Robert Cullen O’Neill Memorial Fund of The Community Foundation has awarded Central Rappahannock Regional Library a $6,000 grant to purchase book prizes for children and teens who reach the 1,000 and 2,000-minute milestones in the library’s 2026 Summer Reading program.
Jenny McGee: VPLDA Staff Member of the Year - March 23, 2026
Jenny McGee, Library on the Go, opens a new window Specialist at Howell Branch, has been honored as the Virginia Public Library Directors Association (VPLDA) Staff Member of the Year for her extraordinary work connecting senior and rural residents with vital library resources. With over 4,000 customer interactions in 2025 and a key role in the launch of a new mobile outreach vehicle, Jenny’s dedication and kindness make her a true "lifesaver" for the community.
