Patriot's Day: September 11
Commemorates the lives lost during the September 11, 2001, terrorist attacks on the World Trade Center in New York City, the Pentagon in Virginia, and the hijacked United Airlines Flight 93 in Pennsylvania. U.S. flags are to be flown at half-staff, and a moment of silence is observed at 8:46 AM, the time the first plane struck the World Trade Center.

Rosh Hashanah: Friday, September 11-Sunday, September 13
Rosh Hashanah is a significant two-day Jewish holiday, often referred to as the "Day of Judgment." Observances typically include attending synagogue services and resting, much like the Sabbath. The holiday is also marked by festive meals featuring symbolic foods, such as apples dipped in honey to represent hopes for a sweet new year, as well as pomegranates and challah bread.
