2015 Annual Report

For over 45 years, the Central Rappahannock Regional Library has earned many awards. The CRRL has repeatedly been named a Star Library by Library Journal for delivering excellent service, as measured by customer use, and was most recently honored as one of only three libraries in Virginia to be so named. The HAPLR Index ranked the CRRL fifth nationally for libraries its size for cost-effective use of tax dollars. The CRRL's success is only possible through strong regional cooperation, and we are grateful for the continued support of all the communities we serve the in counties of Spotsylvania, Stafford, and Westmoreland and the City of Fredericksburg. Our success is a regional success story!

Libraries are all about books, of course, and, in 2015, people borrowed them more than 3.5 million times. Downloadable audiobook circulation increased nearly 1 by5% in 2015!

Public libraries are also the place where people gather for meetings, classes and events, and to get answers from the library's research staff. People come to use computers and to connect to the Library’s WiFi.  Even outside the buildings' walls, the CRRL is getting good use through the library's mobile app, catalog, and website. In increasing numbers, people request materials, manage their accounts, download books, and check out or renew items from wherever they are.
