We know you love our collections of physical books, movies, and music as holds are continuing to be placed during our closure. Due to the sheer volume of hold requests we have received, it is necessary to temporarily disable placing new ones. The Place a Hold button no longer appears for physical items in the online catalog. The best way to track an item that you want to check out or place a hold on in the future is to use the For Later feature.
Clicking the For Later button adds the item to your For Later Shelf, which you can also use to store items you are currently reading or listening to, or have completed. For Later keeps those items in a list you can easily access from the library catalog or the CRRL mobile app. To navigate to the list when logged into your account, click your username in the purple box, and then click For Later Shelf in the option list that appears.

Holds that have already been placed will be honored and will be placed on pickup shelves once we reopen. Also, holds currently sitting on pickup shelves in branches will remain there for one week after we reopen.
We will make an announcement when the Place a Hold feature has been re-enabled and you can begin placing holds again. Thank you for your patience.
